Welcome to the Great Groove Band music page for our 2022 summer programs at Old Songs and Philadelphia Folk Festivals.
Old Songs rehearsals are Friday 3:00-4:30 pm, Saturday 9-11 am and Sunday morning 9-10:30 am at the Carriage House/Area 2.
Philly rehearsals are at the Lobby Stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10 to 11:50. Please arrive promptly so we can squeeze as much rehearsal time in as possible.
2022 Music Selections – scroll down for links
- Bound for South Australia – sea chanty – acappella – no instrumental
- Meeting of the Waters – Scots March
- J’entends le moulin – Quebecois work song
We will not use sheet music on stage. This page is designed to help participants prepare but we review everything at the festival. Even if you missed this download page, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you learn everything by ear at the festival, even the lyrics to the French song!
Save a nice outfit for the Sunday afternoon concert. Bring extra strings and reeds just in case! A music stand is not necessary.
2022 MUSIC DOWNLOADS
Participants can download these music examples and play through them, or just listen along. If your instrument is not listed, contact Molly Hebert-Wilson at [email protected].
